The Vector Pro is the company’s latest remote design, and is intended to provide service engineers with ultimate control of automated racking systems while performing maintenance duties from inside the machinery.

The remote features a two-step ‘enable’ button that requires the operator to hold down the button before other elements of the controller become active.

Each Vector Pro controller has a bespoke configuration as per client requirements, to ensure the unit is capable of acting as the main override controller, superseding all other control units within the automated system.

There are safety implications for service engineers maintaining automated racking systems in potentially hazardous settings.  The Vector Pro aims to eliminate the chance of accidental activation of machinery from elsewhere without prior conscious activation by the remote operator.

As a measure to guard against the operator losing consciousness or panicking, an automatic shutdown of the entire system occurs if the enable button is released too quickly, or another ‘step two’ button is depressed too soon.

German manufacturers HBC – Radiomatic also provide a chest holder for easy access to the unit whilst the operator is confined to the restricted space.
