Harold Potter has supplied a 30m span, 12.5t Goliath Crane to JRL Trent Precast in Skelmersdale, England, with WS Transportation completing the delivery.

The legs of the crane departed Harold Potter’s workshop, with the main beam nearing completion and scheduled for installation at the client’s site.

Harold Potter, a Nottingham-based manufacturer, provided the delivery and installation service as part of their ongoing supply of new and used overhead cranes, including goliath and semi-goliath models.

JRL Trent Precast, which operates out of Nottingham and Skelmersdale, specialises in structural precast and GRC concrete units and is part of the JRL Group, a national construction group with divisions across the country.

The JRL Group incorporates multiple service capabilities in civils and construction, operating from locations that include North London, Elstree, Biggleswade, Peterborough and Nottingham.

Harold Potter continues to support UK businesses with crane design, manufacture, maintenance, inspection, and repair, ensuring that each crane is checked and labelled for safe working load prior to leaving its workshop.

In May, Harold Potter delivered and installed a 10t overhead travelling crane and a 12m freestanding gantry at Scotrenewables Tidal Power on Orkney, Scotland.

The project involved modifying and overhauling a previously used double-girder electric crane, which now supports the outfitting of a tidal turbine at the renewable energy development.

Harold Potter coordinated the transportation of all crane components, equipment and materials to the remote site.

The work included adjusting the crane to meet the client’s requirements, ensuring timely delivery and precise fitment according to the specific operational needs.
