Exhibition space at the inaugural bC India - A Bauma ConExpo show has been increased by 60% to 80,000 sq m due to strong demand from industry, the organisers have said.

Messe München and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) said the decision to expand the available exhibition space came off the back of the large number of companies registering to exhibit at bC India.

bC India is a collaborative effort between Messe München, the organiser of Bauma and Bauma China, and America's AEM, co-owner and co-producer of ConExpo.

bC India takes place in Mumbai, India on 8-11 February, 2011. The deadline for registration is 17 May, 2010.

"Strong interest from international, as well as Indian, manufacturers of construction machinery has shown that the cooperation between Messe München and the AEM to organise the trade fair bC India has been very much welcomed by the sector," said Eugen Egetenmeir, managing director of Messe München.

“The number of Indian and international companies participating in bC India demonstrates the keen industry support for global partnerships and consolidation of shows worldwide that can produce premier exhibitions in new and emerging markets,” said Dennis Slater, president of AEM.
