Kanoo Group, the Arabian conglomerate with interests ranging from oil to tourism, has established Crane Industrial Services LLC in the United Arab Emirates in joint venture with KCI Konecranes. The new company is offering cranes and maintenance across all industries including ports and harbours. Kanoo holds 51%, Konecranes 49%.
“Both Kanoo and Konecranes are recognised as high quality suppliers in the industry,” said KCI Konecranes president Stig Gustavson. “Through this joint venture, we want to offer our customers the best technology in the industry combined with local first-class maintenance back-up.”
KCI Konecranes has had a presence in UAE since 1996 with a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai. KCI Konecranes is established in the crane market in the power, steel and concrete industries in the region. The operation has primarily focused on supplying industrial cranes within the Gulf region, but is looking to establish a maintenance network as well.
