US trade association Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) has booked 275 exhibitors for next year’s ProMat show, to be held 10-13 February 2003 in Chicago.
Floor space booked at the ‘spacedraw’ in December amounts to 185,000 net square feet (17,000m2), which is a 15% increase in the area reserved at the ProMat 2001 spacedraw – “a clear message that the material handling and logistics industry is focused on the predicted economic recovery”, claim the organisers. More than 600 exhibitors are expected to fill 300,000 square feet at ProMat 2003.
ProMat is held every two years, in rotation with the NA trade fair, also sponsored by the MHIA. NA 2002 is being held in April in Detroit.
