Kalmar retains Rotterdam contact

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has retained a three-year contract to provide complete service and maintenance support for two Kalmar ship-to-shore (STS) cranes operated by SCA Logistics B.V at their Rotterdam Terminal in the Netherlands. The contract became operational in September 2013, Cargotec stated earlier this month.

Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT) has signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Technology Corporation (MHIMT) to install remote-control operations for the 29 RTGs at Container Terminal 9. The project is the first of its kind outside of Japan.

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has been commissioned by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), to increase the operating height of four ship-to-shore (STS) cranes for APM Terminals Algeciras in southern Spain, the company announced recently. The project has started in June 2013, with the cranes returning to full operation in October 2013.
