Load cell specialist Straightpoint has continued its push to broaden its global presence with an ongoing commitment to tradeshow participation.

The manufacturer is sending transportable exhibition kits that contain a selection of its force measurement, load monitoring and suspended weighing load cells to its global partners across 2015.

One recent example is when it supplied North African dealer EMH France, which participated at the Midest Maroc show during December in Casablanca, Morocco.

According to Straightpoint director David Ayling, the company's distributors closely monitor the trade shows and conferences that serve their local markets.

Ayling and Straightpoint supports participation in these events with products and literature to help demonstrate the capabilities of the manufacturer's range.

He said: "We continually encourage and challenge our dealers to keep our brand and products in front of the target market. EMH expressed an interest in exhibiting at the Midest Maroc show and I was keen to make their stand as professional and informative to visitors as possible."

Malik Hariri, technical engineer at EMH France, said: "Midest represented a great opportunity for us to show the Straightpoint range of products; we have visited the expo many times before and knew it would draw a high level of interest from a variety of end user sectors.

"We were very grateful that David provided the exhibition kit and the response to the products and their capabilities was very positive."

Ayling continues to acknowledge that effective promotion of its products in front of potential or existing users is key to its ongoing success.

Hariri reiterates the importance of hands-on experience following the success he enjoyed at Midest.

He explains: "In the first instance it was the presence of the products that drew people to the stand. Once they were engaged, we could then explain the benefits of the product range and utilise the other advertising and literature materials that

"Straightpoint gave us to enhance our exhibit. We anticipate that the Midest show will have a positive impact as we continue to raise the profile of force measurement, load monitoring and suspended weighing load cells to our existing and potential customers in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria."
