New Abus chain hoist

New from German hoist manufacturer Abus Crane Systems is the GM2 electric chain hoist. Pictured is a low headroom unit for load capacities up to 630kg safe working load.

This model offers hoisting speeds of 20m/min and an M7 heavy duty rating (depending on SWL). A programmable hoist limit switch is also available.

As with other Abus hoists, maintenance of the GM2 is made easier by the use of plug and socket connections and a removable chain guide cassette, and it comes with a four-year warranty.

Also new to Abus, which produces more than 5,000 complete cranes a year, is Paul Winslade, who has joined Abus Ltd in the UK as area manager for northwest England.
