Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) Group in the UK has rebranded its customer training division as the Lifting Equipment Training Institute (LETI) and set it up as a stand-alone business to meet the growing demand for training services.

LETI’s business proposition is to sell training to customers that are not fully up to date with the latest UK and European legislation relating to lifting. A large part of this initiative is providing ‘lifting operation audits’, detailing all the measures a client needs to undertake to comply with all the laws and regulations.

LETI has built a training centre in Manchester, with access to an array of specialist lifting equipment including gantries, hoists, access platforms and a wide range of lifting gear and accessories, both manual and powered.

A number of specific courses and applications are catered for by purpose built installations. A new overhead crane system has been fitted featuring both pendant and remote control operation.

The new centre is in addition to existing training facilities in Newcastle, Derbyshire, London and Manchester.
