CraneWerks, which specializes in the design and fabrication of overhead cranes, runways, monorail systems, and safe load lifting, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and has welcomed Ashley Larochelle as president, taking over from her father Mark Thomas.

Here, Larochelle speaks to Hoist about her new role and how the company has expanded, moving from Arlington, Indiana to a bigger facility in Morristown. US.

Larochelle took over as president last March and has been with the company for 16 years, working alongside her father, who is taking on special projects and going out on the field as a project manager, and working with distributors. He remains as CEO and an executive Board member of CraneWerks.

“We are focusing on developing our dealer networks and working closely with them to expand our business. Things have changed drastically since I started with the company 16 years ago with emails and video calls, rather than face-to face meetings. It has made business a lot more easier, and we are getting busier and busier every day and see more growth on the horizon,” said Larochelle.

“There weren’t that many female sales representatives in the industry when I first started out but that has changed considerably.”
