The event will comprise morning plenary sessions and afternoon workshops on factory cranes, and tower and mobile construction cranes. Speakers confirmed so far include Ilkka Riikonen, KCI Konecranes chief engineer, Jason Sutton, maintenance manager – lifting equipment at Airbus UK, Bryan Cronie, safety director of Mammoet in the Netherlands, Klaus Meissner, technical director of Terex-Demag in Germany.

Topics will include the impact of the new crane standard EN 13001, rigging tackle colour coding and the business benefits of standards harmonisation.
