CHARLET DEALER NETWORK GROWS
5 January 1999New distributors are being added to the dealer network of Charlet, the French manufacturer of sheaves, hooks and crane blocks.
Its new distributor for the UK and Ireland is Nim Sales which has already supplied a 100t safe working load crane bottom block for use on an existing overhead travelling crane. The block was custom built and delivered in less than six weeks.
Charlet, established in 1864 and manufacturing lifting equipment for more than 30 years, already has distributors in Europe, South Africa, Australia, Chile, Argentina and the USA.
Further dealers will be added soon in Brazil and Indonesia, the company says.
Recent innovations from Charlet include the telescopic coil grab, available in 16t, 32t and 50t models. The grabs can be operated from either the crane cab or by infra-red remote control.
