Welcome to Hoist's list of the top 50 most important people in the hoist industry. These people have shaped the course of the global business over their (sometimes long) careers, and hold the keys to its future. Not all are businessmen and engineers; the list also includes regulators and organisers. This list is the result of nominations and suggestions from contacts and readers around the world, and in-house research. The honour is to have been included in the list; we do not rank these people. For purposes of presentation we have organised all the winners alphabetically. The list is only limited to people who are working in the industry - retirees were not included.
