Majority in favour of overload devices

In a recent poll of visitors to this site, 70% said overload protection devices should be standard on all lifting equipment, even that under 1t capacity, and went as far as to say that units operating without one are unsafe. Should overload protection devices be standard on all lifting equipment - even that under 1t capacity?

- Definitely, units operating without them are unsafe (70%)

- It'd be too difficult to enforce (22%)

- Lifting light loads is safe without them (4%)

- It will happen eventually (2%)

- I don't care either way (2%)

- It'd be too expensive, units wouldn't be saleable (0%)
