The world’s largest cruise ship, Harmony of the Seas, is equipped with a Palfinger Marine PK 150002 M foldable knuckle boom crane for cargo handling from top to lower decks.

The vessel, built at STX in France, is 362.1m long and can accommodate 6,780 guests in total.

The crane was mounted in the centre of the top deck and one of the first duties was to lift and exchange palm trees in the shopping area.

Palfinger Marine has already received a follow-up order for an identical crane for another cruise ship, which will be the same type and design as Harmony of the seas. This marine crane will be delivered to STX end of 2016.
