New MD for Erikkila
14 May 2019Finland-based crane manufacturer Erikkila have appointed Knut Stewen as managing director with immediate effect.
Following long discussions between previous managing director Mikko Erikkilä and the company’s board of directors, and Erikkilä’s extended sick leave, both parties reached an amicable agreement that he will not return to the company.
Stewen has more than 20 years of experience in the lifting industry in a wide range of key positions throughout the world, says the company. Stewen said: “I am very excited about this opportunity to join a company with such a long history. Erikkila Oy has over many years been an innovation leader in the industry.”
Speaking on behalf of the company, chairman of the board Martin Rothe said: “We sincerely appreciate Mikko’s many years of service and commitment to Erikkila and his important contributions to the company’s success. We are fortunate to have someone of Knut’s calibre and experience as his successor. We all join in wishing Mikko a full and speedy recovery.”
