Two new gantry cranes have been delivered to DP World Sokhna, Egypt’s commercial gateway between Cairo and the Red Sea, to boost productivity at the port’s container handling operations.

The two ship-to-shore cranes, manufactured by ZPMC of China, were transported to the port by the vessel Zhen-Hua 18 and safely off-loaded by DP World Sokhna management and engineers.

The Super Post-Panamax quay cranes, with a capacity of 65t and a reach of 24 rows of containers, will join 11 rubber-tyred gantry cranes received at the port in March this year.
