SCE Industries group has invested over £500,000 in group companies Street Cranexpress and BXH, expanding and modernising offices in Sheffield including a modern training centre, staff gym and workshop improvements.

The SCE Industries group was formed following the acquisition of SCX Special Projects by Elysian Capital. SCX had previously completed a number of bespoke projects, including at the Centre Court and Number One Court at Wimbledon and the retractable pitch at Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium.

Street Cranexpress is a national crane service provider, and has a 50-year association with crane manufacturer Street Crane providing after-sales customer service and undertaking maintenance and inspection, as well as offering overhead lifting equipment installation services. BXH is a distributor of electrical control and automation products.

“This is a very exciting time for us,” said managing director Ray Fletcher. “The investment in the building and our staff means we now have significantly larger and better equipped premises with the essential resource levels to match.

“As we emerge from Covid-19, we are strongly placed with our range of services and products to keep production lines moving across the UK in many sectors, from heavy industry to energy providers; from utilities to food distribution.

“Recent successes have seen customers impressed that we now have all elements of our business in one place, working together to deliver the highest levels of customer service.”
