The French consortium Bouygues Travaux Publics, VINCI Construction Grands Projets, Dodin Campenon Bernard and Demathieu Bard Construction used Enerpac crane to construct a bridge of 5.400m for a new offshore highway in Reunion Island, located in the Indian Ocean.

This crane is one of the world's largest offshore overhead travel cranes.

It has two pairs of lifting beams, with an overall width of 30m, and a lifting capacity of 4,800t for lifting, moving and lowering the concrete blocks for the offshore highway.

The OHTC was mounted on the Zourite jack-up barge for the Route du Littoral project, connecting Saint Denis, the administrative capital of La Réunion with La Possession. This new offshore highway is replacing the existing coastal road, which is exposed to falling rocks and flooding from swells and tropical storms.

The Zourite jack-up barge is being transported to Reunion Island aboard Offshore Heavy Transport's Hawk semi-submersible vessel and is expected to arrive in June.
