Poly-steel chain alternative from Japan

Japanese company Tsubaki is offering a poly-steel chain that it claims “offers a load capacity close to that of all ‘304’ stainless steel chains, but costs less and is approximately 50% lighter”.

The poly-steel chain is aimed at drive and conveyor applications where a quiet, clean and lubrication-free chain is required.

Polyacetal inner links are connected by ‘304’ stainless steel outer links, “virtually eliminating wear on guide rails and sprockets” according to Tsubaki. Other materials can be substituted for greater corrosion resistance.
