CSX Intermodal Terminals returns to Konecranes

8 November 2013

Konecranes has been commissioned by US-based transportation firm CSX Intermodal Terminals to provide a quartet of RTG cranes.

Three of the gantry cranes will be installed at the company's Valleyfield, Canada base while the remaining machine will head for Chicago before October 2014. The deal also includes the option for an additional RTG if required. This latest investment follows on from a similar order by the CSX Corporation subsidiary for three such machines placed last June.

"Close and good cooperation with our customer has paid off and resulted in another important order from them," says Jost Dämmgen, sales manager of Port Cranes at Konecranes.
