Dellner designs new brake series

Swedish disc brake manufacturer Dellner Brakes AB has designed a new series of disc brakes, the SKP 220, to strengthen its market position on the upper segment of big spring applied and hydraulically released disc brakes.

The new series is both stronger and more compact than the old SKP 4x120 brakes. Brake force generated is between 113kN and 248kN depending on spring set-up.

The SKP 220 is designed for applications that include cranes, winches and conveyors. First installation is scheduled for January 2002, according to the company which has been producing hydraulic caliper disc brakes since the mid-1960s.
